The local government of Pilar is giving cash incentive to senior citizens in their municipality. “We give P3,000 to each of our senior citizens who reach the age of 85”, said the new Vice Mayor Ces Garcia.
“When they turn 100 years old, another P17,000 will be given to them to total the amount to P20,000″, she also said. Pilar has an ordinance giving cash incentive to senior citizens.
Garcia added, ” We are just a small municipality and have limited budget but we, through the leadership of Mayor Charlie Pizarro, want to give something to help our senior citizens”.
The national government is giving P100,000 cash award to Filpino centenarians.
